Throwback DCFA excursion #1: regenerative design
Friday, March 24, the first DCFA Excursion was held at the Upside Club Tjikko. The topic was regenerative design. The workshop was part of the collaboration with Pakhuis de Zwijger and Upside Club Tjikko and part of the program Designing Cities for All: Re-Generation. This program focuses on the role of design in (re)shaping and (re)creating regenerative cities by, for, and with everyone and every living thing. Read the summary of this event.
Press release kick off
In the presence of Paul Hawken, the kickoff took place on Oct. 2, 2023. Paul Hawken is the author of the book Drawdown and an environmental activist. He was particularly enthusiastic about the initiative. “TJIKKO is a hopeful example of places where change is going to emerge from caring and connecting with each other. And the great thing is: caring for something or someone is not a new concept. Anyone can do it, an initiative like TJIKKO is the kickstarter. Well done”. Read the entire press release in response the kickoff.
